Many of our patients require the same medications repeatedly – sometimes over many years. Often it is not necessary for them to consult the Doctor each time a prescription is needed – and in these cases a repeat prescription slip is issued. To obtain a repeat prescription the slip should be handed in or posted to the surgery with a note of which items are required.
Our staff will prepare the prescription and pass it on to the Doctors to be checked and signed.
Please allow 48 hours for this process.
Prescriptions can then be collected from the surgery or from the chemist of your choice.
Please note that requests for prescriptions will not be accepted over the telephone because of an unacceptable risk of errors occurring.
It is also possible to request repeat prescriptions online.
This can be done using Patient Access. Please ask one of our receptionists about this service and they will help you with registration and explanation.
From July 2019 the NHS have introduced an NHS App for online access.
