Out of Hours

Outside the hours of 08:00 and 18:30 on working days emergency medical care is provided by an organisation known as Northern Doctors Urgent Care who have been commissioned by Northumberland Clinical Commissioning group for this purpose.

If you ring the surgery when it is closed you will be given a number to ring to obtain more help.

NHS Walk-In Centres

– who can offer medical and nursing assessments, advice and treatment. The nearest walk-in centre is on Shibdon Road at Blaydon.

In working hours (08:00 to 18:30, Monday to Friday) please contact the surgery first for advice.

Please note that the doctors working in the walk-in centre will not know you personally and also that they are not able to arrange referrals or any more complex tests.
